EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based method for processing and healing trauma. It works by helping your brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or “stuck.” Using bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or sound—EMDR engages both sides of the brain to support your natural healing process.

In my practice, I combine EMDR with somatic (body-based) awareness to help you not only shift the emotional charge of past experiences but also release the patterns your body has been holding. Trauma isn’t just a story in your mind—it lives in your nervous system, posture, breathing, and felt sense of safety. By integrating somatic tools into EMDR, we can track and gently unwind the physical sensations, muscle tension, and nervous system responses that often accompany difficult memories.

Whether you’re working through:

  • Sexual trauma or shame

  • Childhood neglect or emotional abuse

  • Anxiety, panic, or chronic stress

  • Feeling “frozen” or disconnected from your body

  • Relationship patterns that keep repeating

  • Self-worth wounds from past experiences

  • Fear, avoidance, or hypervigilance in intimacy

…this work can help you feel safer in your own skin, reconnect with your sense of agency, and respond to life from the present rather than the past.

What is a session like?

Our work will move between resourcing—building your internal capacity and safety—and reprocessing, where we work with specific memories, sensations, or beliefs that still carry weight. Sessions are collaborative and paced to your comfort. You might notice subtle shifts in breath or posture, release of physical tension, changes in emotional intensity, or an increased sense of clarity. I’ll guide you in noticing and tending to your body’s cues while we use EMDR’s structured approach to move you toward integration and relief.

You don’t have to relive your trauma to heal from it. With somatic EMDR, we create a grounded, compassionate space for your mind and body to complete what was once overwhelming—so you can step forward with more safety, freedom, and connection.

Transparency is important to me, hence why I list session prices. However, I want my services to be accessible to people who really need it. If you need my help but can't afford the standard rates, I'm able to offer some sliding-scale options. Please start by messaging me. If I think we’re a good fit, we’ll start with a free 20 minute consult.

I am trained in somatic EMDR and offer it within a coaching framework. I am not a licensed mental health clinician, so while our work can be deeply healing and transformative, it is not a substitute medical treatment. I do not accept insurance.
