Meet Marissa
Certified Sex Educator & Intimacy Coach
Bio and Positionality
My name is Marissa Zumbo (she/they). I’m a sex educator, intimacy coach, intimacy coordinator, and writer.
I identify as a pansexual, queer, abled, white, neurodivergent, cisgender (slightly genderqueer) woman. I’ve struggled with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and complex PTSD throughout my life. I was born in the US, am a college graduate, and my first language is English.
I acknowledge that many of my identities have provided me with advantages in my life and I am committed to continuously understanding how privilege affects me and the people around me, as well as trying to mend the systems that have unfairly benefitted me or others.

I started working as a sex educator and intimacy coach after doing a boatload of therapy and other modalities to work through a sexual assault. I understand how important and sensitive this work is and strive to be empathetic and highly focused in my work with others.
I currently reside on land that belongs to Cheyenne, Ute, and Sioux peoples.
